This MVP privacy policy explains how Smunicent LLC handles waitlist, contact, city discovery, location, safety, and WhatsApp-related information while the full platform is being developed.
Who we are
- Smunicent is operated by Smunicent LLC. The MVP is governed from Texas, United States.
- This policy explains how we handle information submitted through the Smunicent website, city discovery tools, waitlists, contact forms, safety reports, and outbound WhatsApp group links.
Current MVP scope
- Smunicent currently provides website information, city discovery, search and filtering, optional browser-based location matching, external WhatsApp group access, city waitlists, contact forms, and limited outbound-click records.
- Smunicent does not currently provide user accounts, member profiles, native messaging, in-app posts, payments, identity verification, native mobile applications, or an in-app moderation dashboard.
Information we collect
- Waitlist submissions may include your name, email address, city, country, optional early-access preference, consent confirmations, and submission time.
- Contact submissions may include your name, email address, reason for contacting us, message, privacy acknowledgment, and submission time.
- Safety reports may include the information you choose to provide, such as screenshots, dates, usernames, visible phone numbers, group names, relevant links, and a concise factual description.
- When you continue to a WhatsApp group, the current code may log city name, city slug, source page, and click time to understand community demand.
Location matching
- If you choose Use current location on the Cities page, your browser asks for permission and calculates the nearest supported city locally.
- Precise coordinates are processed in the browser only. They are not stored, are not sent to the server, and the matched city is not stored solely because you used location matching.
How we use information
- We use submitted information to respond to messages, manage waitlist interest, coordinate city launches, review safety concerns, improve city coverage, understand outbound WhatsApp demand, and send relevant Smunicent updates where permitted.
- Optional product and early-access updates are sent only when you choose that optional preference. You may ask us to withdraw optional communications consent.
- We do not sell personal information, use advertising pixels, use retargeting, operate a CRM, or run newsletter automation during the MVP launch.
Service providers and third parties
- We use Supabase for waitlist, contact, and outbound-click records. Authorized team members and service providers may access information only as needed to operate, support, protect, or improve the MVP.
- WhatsApp and Meta operate WhatsApp separately from Smunicent. WhatsApp may display your phone number, profile name, profile image, messages, and activity depending on WhatsApp features and your settings.
- Following a WhatsApp join link does not give Smunicent access to ordinary WhatsApp message contents or your WhatsApp contacts.
Analytics, cookies, and browser storage
- At MVP launch, Smunicent does not use Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Vercel Analytics, Meta Pixel, Facebook Pixel, PostHog, Plausible, advertising trackers, advertising pixels, retargeting, nonessential cookies, localStorage, or sessionStorage.
- This statement must be reassessed before adding analytics, marketing tools, pixels, cookies, or browser storage beyond what is required for the website to function.
Retention
- Waitlist records are kept until the selected city launches, you withdraw or request deletion, or after 24 months of inactivity.
- Contact messages are kept up to 24 months after resolution.
- WhatsApp outbound-click records are kept up to 12 months.
- Safety reports are kept up to 3 years, or longer when required for an active investigation, legal obligation, or continuing safety matter.
Your choices and requests
- You can choose not to submit a form, not to use location matching, or not to continue to WhatsApp.
- You may request access, correction, deletion, withdrawal from a waitlist, or withdrawal of optional communications consent by emailing privacy@smunicent.com. We may need to verify the request before acting on it.
- Community participation is limited to people who are at least 18. WhatsApp may have separate age and account requirements.
Policy changes and contact
- This policy may be updated as Smunicent grows. If the product adds accounts, profiles, messaging, posts, payments, verification, mobile apps, analytics, or new moderation tools, this page should be updated before those features launch.
